A Little Poem to Begin...

What the Glasses Say

The glasses say, "I am the one who
brings life to your eyes and
details to your brain. Without me
you would be utterly lost in a blurry
world of semi-darkness.
But am I loved and appreciated
for all that I do? You hardly ever
clean me and I am constantly
being tossed aside in favor of
those blasted contact lenses.
Who are they to think they are
so special and needed? They can
rip, or get lost so easily whereas
I am always devotedly waiting--
waiting for the evening to come so
that you pick me up and allow
me to bring you what nature
denied you--the gift of perfect sight."
